May be trivial, but just at looking at the pictures and the description I really can't see much difference between these 2. Pockets are located in different places but other than that they are basically the same. Am I missing something here? Why do they make 2 products so similar? According to recommendations from some here, the Rover would be the one to get...any thoughts from anybody who has one of these or knows anything about them?

well i have 1 simialer to the black 1 . mine is a brunswick pro player (6 ball, dropped down to a 4) and the two your choosing between i would say pay close attention to the handles. the blue 1 looks to be a bit better suited the other is just thin gage square tubing (if its like mine) and can get bent.
these bags are real stable they wont twist over on ya, thats y i got mine.

I suspect that BowlingBall.com is either having a sale on the Land Rover or has mispriced them. According to what I can get from the KR web site, the LR is the "premium" line and the Eliminator is the "value priced" line.
See http://www.krstrikeforce.com/catalog/products/7
Another internet web site has the LR at $185 and the Eliminator at $169.
Yet another place has the LR at $164, & the Eliminator at $153.

BB discounts has the 1st bag for $151.99 shipped if you want that one. They also have the 2nd one for the same price as bb.com shipped.
Personally I like the 2nd one better. It has more pockets for all your gear.
The Lane Rover has a big pocket on the front of the bottom half which the Eliminator does not and the Lane Rover also has side pockets which again are absent on the Eliminator.

Have been looking into a new bag for a few months now and have pretty much used Bowling Ball as a base line for price. In addition to this price I also found this coupon that cuts the price down $10.00 making either bag $158 and $155...that includes shipping. These prices have been the same for both bags since the beginning of summer. Only thing they have done is eliminated a choice of colors for each bag.
Sounds like the Rover would be the bag to get.
Coupon page..apply the code when you check out and the price changes accordingly.

Go with the Lane Rover. I bought one a few years ago for my son and it's still like new. Heavier and more sturdy.
