6 ball roller question
« on: July 21, 2009, 03:06:26 PM »
Can you remove the middle bag and replace it with the top bag and use it as a four ball roller if that is all you needed? Or would the handle stick up too far?

i have a brunswick 4 ball bag that i converted to 6 and now its back to a 4 but i kept the long handle on it.  Just gota remove 2 screws (bottom of handle) slide the middle bag spot off and then remove 2 spacers (one on each leg) and you can then have a 4 ball bag.

I found that as a 6 ball bag it is rather tippy (throw 16lbs) and got to the point it didn't like to stay up-right.

I have the Storm rolling thunder 4 ball roller with a joey on the handle and I love it. Holds the 5 balls perfectly. No problem fitting in any trunk I have tried so far. I thought about getting a 6 ball roller but it just seems like that would be too much to drag around especially in the winter although it would be nice to have 7 balls with a joey to choose from.  My brother has the Brunswick 4 ball roller. It is very bulky and large. The handle does not go all the way down and even the wheels roll very loud when pulling the bag across a parking lot. It is also a struggle to fit into a trunk. I would never buy that bag.

T-Bone --  Your bag is the same as mine and i have have no issues with getting it in any trunks.  When it was a 6 baller, yes it was a pain to unassemble and reassemble for lifting (started just lifting the whole darn thing instead, and yes loaded w/6 16lb balls and all equip).  like the legnth of the handle for the 6 thought the handle that comes with the 4 a little short.

Prefer this bag because it is stable, wont tip over side to side while pulling it along.  The only thing i need to do is remove the Brunswick stiching from it.

As far as the handle sticking up to far for you, just try it and if ya don't like it then cut it the same size as the spacers but then there is no going back with out the purchase of new handle.
