Amazon/Bowlerstore issue (resolved)
« on: August 25, 2016, 01:30:05 AM »
Gotta vent a little bit here.

Needed new pair of shoes. Found the white Brunswick TPU X LE's in my size 10 on Amazon filled through Bowlerstore for $89.99. I jumped all over that, received the shoes today and they're size 11.5 when every detail of the order showed size 10.

They can be returned for a refund. They're NOT eligible for an exchange because there's no restocking fee.

I made no mistake. But if I want the correct size I ordered, I have to get a refund and spend an extra $20 because the price went back up from when I ordered. What a bunch of crap

Have you gotten ahold of amazon over it? You didn't get what you ordered and they are usually pretty good about taking care of that kind of situation. The companies they use aren't always the best, but it is Amazon's job as the middle man to deal with it

Amazon should help and they will will probably honor the mistake as they don't want a bad review.

I want to say bowlerstore is bowlersdeals.com--check your invoice?

Last time I ordered from Amazon; I spent $35.00 for expedited shipping.  The item did not make it to my residence when they said it would be and not only did that not happen; Amazon blamed someone else for the shipping error and did not refund my $35.00 expedited shipping charge.  I will never order from them again.  Sorry you are going through this.  I hope you are able to get the issue resolved.

Should have gone to your local pro shop. Then you wouldn't have this problem. In the end, you'll be spending the same amount as what you would have paid at the pro shop.
Balls: Motiv Forza GT, Motiv Primal Rage Remix, Motiv Ascent Pearl and Motiv (On The Ball) spare ball.. All made in the USA.

My local pro shop always tells me to look online for prices on shoes and bags because he just can't compete with the online retailers. Balls are a different story though. I always ask him first about prices just to make sure as I would rather give him the business.

It's not the same price at all. I've had multiple pro shop operators tell me to shop online for bags and shoes because they can't compete with the prices

Go to amazon.com and use their live chat customer service. Im positive they will give you the $20. I have used that chat service 10+ times and they always make it right...every single time. Either by refunding me money, giving me free overnight shipping, giving me amazon gift cards, etc. It has never once failed me. And I believe the bowlerstore orders are fulfilled by amazon so they tend to be more willing to help. If it is sold and shipped by a 3rd party, they are less flexible at times, but I have never once ended a chat and not gotten what I needed. It's like they always say, "the squeaky wheel gets the grease".

Very true. You will usually pay more for bags and shoes through a proshop. Sometimes a lot, but other times not really that much.

You always have to factor in the cost of time and frustration if something goes wrong, as it did in your case. For some it's worth the gamble, but for me life is too short. In any case, I hope things work out for a happy ending.

Well the issue has been resolved. Who would have ever thought Live Chat online would be more useful than talking with a person on the phone.

Live Chat support gave refund and $20 credit on account. Purchased new pair at $109 and they expedited shipping for free. New pair (hopefully correct size) will be on my doorstep tomorrow

Unfortunately, we usually tell our customers to go on line to purchase shoes.  They can usually get them cheaper online that we can get them through our distributors.
