any Bowling Bags made in USA?
« on: August 16, 2008, 10:08:09 PM »
I hear that Brunswick bowling balls are manufactured in Mexico. Before I make a purchase I was curious. Does anyone know what bags are/or not manufactured here in the USA.
Thanks

I went to www.madeinusa.org and www.usstuff.com and all I could find that was made in the USA were bowling balls.

And Dexter shoes.

I think all the bags are manufactured from out of the USA!

for those of you who are not aware of it MOST bowling equipment in NOT made in the united states. this includes shoes from dexter, linds, etonic, and 3G. i think it's safe to assume that over 90% of the bowling bags are not made in the usa. most of the bowling balls are made in the usa.

It's a shame but more and more bowling products are made in other countries.  We try to buy as much US made products for our Pro Shop but it's hard.  I hate to see the Mexican and Chinese bowling balls but they are increasing in number.

KR Bags are made in the US, and they are the only one that I know of. They also make the Brunswick bags, ironically enough.

I did not know that, I thought they were overseas!

With KR (and Brunswick) they are assembled here in the U.S.

The top part of the bag is purchased from overseas, while the base, wheels, handles, etc., are from the U.S., and they are assembled in the U.S. Even the 2 ball totes (without a base) are shipped from China but they aren't sewn until they arrive in Illinois.

Good information everyone, thanks . So it's ok to buy a Brunswick bag, but not a Brunswick ball.

Who makes bags for Storm? I was once under the impression that KR did as at one time, parts for KR & Storm bags were interchangeable. Don't know if this is still the case today or not?
