Are ball wipes worth it?
« on: May 01, 2014, 11:55:24 PM »
I know there are a couple different ball wipes out on the market and was looking for suggestions on what works and what doesn't.  I'm not looking to do a deep clean with a ball spinner, but rather clean oil off the ball after bowling league?  I am looking for something that will not change the surface of the ball.  Thanks for your opinions!

I have used Reacta Wipes they actually work pretty good, they are more usable and less time consuming specially after a late night regular set of bowling. But in my opinion nothing its better than a spinner or a Surface Factory. With Reacta Clean, Xtra Clean, Hook It, Clean and Dull, etc.

I find Reacta wipes fine for removing regular dirt from the ball, but totally inadequate for removing lane oil. They are an expensive convenience.

I find PowerHouse (Ebonite) Adrenalin wipes extremely effective for temporarily increasing the ability of the coverstock to absorb oil. It also helps to clean the ball. After use of the Adrenaline Wipes, the ball will hook more. You can use a wipe 3 or 4 times, if not used for regular cleaning.

I love Clean n' Dull for after league on everything that isn't highly polished. I usually use Storm Reacta Clean after every league then once a week or once every other week use clean n' dull. I haven't seen the wipes be too successful at removing oil that has absorbed into the cover by the time I get home from league. They basically only take off the surface oil off between shots before it has a chance to soak in.

I use the ADRENALINE WIPES but they tend to dry out fairly quickly, even with the bag sealed.  Anyone know what I can add to get them moist again?

Alcohol wipes are the same as Adrenaline wipes in what sense?

As in they both say wipe on the box. Maybe I should use the Mr. Clean sponges instead. WOW.

Just wanted to make sure someone wasn't interpreting the Adrenaline wipes as an alcohol based cleaner.

I suppose they also have steroids in them as the package says. They also recommend that u still use there other cleaning products after six games n resurface after 50 games to keep your ball clean. Marketing wizards.I suppose the new hammer spare ball is really made from carbon fiber as well.
