best high end bowling shoe
« on: October 29, 2011, 02:24:24 PM »
I currently own a pair sst8's and the push off shoe split in half right behind the sole. I'm planning on buying another pair of shoes, but I don't know if I should get a pair of the new sst8's or the 3g tour ultras. Which shoe is the best and how do they compare?

Sorry, but felt compelled 'cause you asked.

Call me old fashioned, or just old... But I still like my Linds.

It's okay, 230. I AM old, and I know I am old fashioned.
I just got tired of breaking in shoes over and over again. I wear my Linds year after year, and rarely have any trouble sliding on most approaches.

I hear ya, Lane.

I had a pair of Lind's Exxxtra's for several years and was extremely happy with the QRD of the shoe.   I even sent them in to get re-soled once 'cause I had such success with them.  Was very happy with the performance and looks of the shoes.

Etonic Tourmasters are my favorite.  They are the most adjustable slide wise and the most comfortable.  I have tried all of the others at least once and absolutely love the Etonics.

I too prefer my white Linds Classics. Tried a low end Dexter several years ago and sold them after only a few frames. Just could not slide in them.
