Best shoes on the market?
« on: December 18, 2010, 06:21:31 AM »
Hello all,

I've been needing to buy some new shoes for at least a year now. I'm currently wearing Dexter SST6's and love the way they feel but the insides are getting really really worn. I bought a pair of the white SST8's when they came out but I started wearing the velcro off of the tip of the push off shoe. I'm looking at buying either another pair of SST6's (or the Brunswick version of them) or I was looking at the Etonic ESS Interchangeables. Just wondering what everyone uses and what they like/dislike about the shoes.

Thanks,
Jared

The ETONIC ESS is the most comfortable shoe that I have ever used and they are a fraction of the price of others.

We let them have MANY pairs of shoes, so why can''t we have lots of BALLS.

Agreed.. best push off technology I have used..(not sure about the traction on the SST8, haven''t used them)
Only shoe I could find a slide that worked for me.. Even without the interchangeable heels.. and it has worked at every house I have bowled in.. Go figure. Dexter and 3g I could never slide right.

But if you are currently using the SST 6''s and like them I would just get another pair if you can find them

After wearing Dexter's for many years I gave up on them due to the inability to find the right slide and very poor customer service. I liked my Linds Exxxtra's due to the padding and cushioning they had( as opposed to other Linds models ) plus the changeable discs on the slide shoe. However, their customer service ruined the day as well. I won't wear Etonic's due to no interchangeable heels. 3G Tour Ultra's give me EVERYTHING I need in a great bowling shoe.

I stayed away from the Etonics for the same reason, no interchangeable heel.
I emailed their customer service asking when their advertised VHA heel or any other changeable heel would be out.  Every time I got an answer of 6 months.
The last email said that the interchangeable heel had been postponed indefinitely.

I was a little hesitant going with a company that can't develop an interchangeable heel but I finally took a chance and bought a pair of the ESS Interchangeables.
I don't know how it works but the heel works everywhere that I have been so far.

I like the Etonic ESS Interchangeables myself. Have a pair of the Etonic Dress shoes and they are really comfortable.

I am thinking about getting some 3G black sport deluxe bowling shoes soon as my other pair from BF world don''t know where they went are pretty worn in the inside and has a crack in the sole on my right foot non sliding shoe. I found the 3G''s on bowlingball.com for $74 shipped is that a good deal?

I have had the Brunswick, Etonic and 3G Sport Ultra's.  Of these I like the Sport Ultra's the best.  While I liked the Etonic's I seemed to have problems with the interchangeable soles lasting.  Just my 2 cents.
