Anybody have these yet. If so, can you please give me a small review. Are they stinky, do they break in easy, what is your opinion of the SST8 vs the SST6 if you had both, are the slides as good as the SST6 shoes, do you notice much difference in the smaller footprint compared to the SST6. Thanks in advance.

I have had my red/black SST8's about 2 months and love them so far. Very comfortable and fit true to size. I had zero break in time needed. The at day I bought them, I used them in league that night.

 

I had a paid of SST6's and prefer these SST8's to them comfort wise. AS far as sliding goes, there just fine.

 There were a ton of the original SST8's the white ones and the black ones that were breaking in half right behind the sole, saw too many pairs at my distrib that had come back for warranty reasons to even let me consider a pair, had heard they addressed that with the new ones, and was just curious if anyone had any time with them yet

same out of my shop i could not recommend the shoes to anyone, plus their fix for the push sole was hokie at best, I have not taken the time to look at the new ones yet, but since I am in need of a new pair of shoes, I am going in with open eyes and considering all

Ok, I have had these shoes now for a little over 3 weeks. I am bowling in 4 leagues and practice about 9 to 12 games a week. So far these shoes are holding up well. I do not see any issues yet. I bowl at three different houses and have to change my slides a lot. The velcro on the bottom of the shoe seems to be glued on a lot stronger that the SST6 LX shoes. I always had to be careful when pulling off my soles. The toe cap on the slide shoe seems to be ok. Its not really a cap but a strip of protective leather.  I had the tour ultras and hated the caps on those shoes. They wore out in no time and I could never seem to get the replacements to stay on. The SST8s are vey stiff compared to the SST6s. They do almost feel like a ski boot. That is the biggest adjustment I had to make was getting used to the shoes being rather stiff and as of this moment they are just as stiff as they were when I first put them on. My overall impression of the SST8s are favorable. I really want to buy the new Etonics to see how they feel but for now, I will have to enjoy my new 8s.
