Breaking in Dynorooz?
« on: May 12, 2007, 06:58:55 AM »
I just purchased a set of Dynorooz Sport Ultras based on the reviews here and of other bowlers I know.  These are replcing a set of very well worn, and very entry level, Dexters that I purchased in 1998.  While the Rooz feel pretty comfortable, they are much stiffer than I was used to.  Can anyone give me some tips to quickly loosen these up and get them broken in?

Also, how many games does it takes for the slide soles to get broken in?  I started with the #3 sole, slickest sent with the shoes, and it was a bit sticky during the first game, but by the third game I was loosing traction on my approach because it was getting so slick.  When can I expect the soles to level out and show consistent slide?  Thanks.

Just wear them walking around inside your house for a few days. This will break them in before seeing the lanes.

Agreed with legend4life95. You can just wear them around the house or when u are sitting and watching TV just bend the shoe at the point where it normally bends when you walk.

besides wearing your shoes around the house to break them in the best way to evaluate which soles/heels work is to practice sliding at the bowling center. you may need to spend a half hour or so to get true feedback on which combo works.
