Title: Brunswick Zone Target Shoes
Post by: adbaxter on March 01, 2005, 07:21:18 AM
Hi all,

I'm something of a new/mediocre bowler, just getting my first equipment now. I ordered an Ice ball from Ebonite, and I'm looking at shoes at the moment. Price is a pretty important factor to me, so I've been looking out for deals.

I found that I can get Brunswick Zone Target shoes (Right handed) for something over $40, the cheapest RH shoe that I've seen. My bowling instructor has encouraged me to get RH shoes instead of buying a generic pair, and were all the prices the same, I'd definately do it. My friend found a pair of generics down at our sporting goods store for under $20, though.

So, does anyone know if the Zone Targets are worth anything as bowling shoes? If they are incredibly bad, I might as well save the $20...but if they are a decent pair, it may be worth it for me. Further, does anyone know how Brunswick sizes their shoes? I wear a 12.5 sneaker, and rent 12s at the bowling alley. Will I be safe getting 12s online? I can't find any Brunswick shoes in a store near me.

Thanks for replies,
~adb

My buddy has a pair of Zone Target (black and copper) and he really likes them.  I think he said they were pretty much right on with size - he wears 8.5 and said they fit well.

Hope that helps.
