cheapest place to pre-order the 9s?
« on: August 02, 2015, 10:15:56 AM »
Anybody found a place with a better price than another for pre-order? Seems 189.99 is the norm.

I don't think you'll find anything cheaper. I'd bet that's the normal online retail price

That's what I figured. Didn't know if there may be a cupon for a site to get it slightly cheaper.

My Dexter SST8's were $149.95, two years later there $169.95.  The new SST9's are $189.95
Pete Weber one of the best on the planet wears Storm Bolt's at $69.95 (on sale at $44.95).  It will make me think twice, before I will drop the kind of money they want for the SST9's.
I also have a pair of Brunswick TPU's that I got on sale for $139.00.Hope they last forever, there so comfortable.

This is the biggest issue in bowling s the complete devaluation of bowling products...and the bowling community that believes anything & everything is over-priced and they deserve a special price...products go up or companies go out of business....

Try being a proshop and getting the shoes cheaper online with free shipping then you can from a distributor......whats the point?

If you're buying the 9's from your distributor for more than $189.95 you may want to find another distributor

In reference to every shoe prior to the 9s by almost every manufacture.

Anybody found a place with a better price than another for pre-order? Seems 189.99 is the norm.

$189.99 is the lowest they can be sold for.

If these are now sold with MAP pricing, why not go crazy and do something like..... order from your pro shop instead of trying to save a nickel buying online? You get the added bonus of customer service if they fit different than expected or need replacing due to a defect.

FYI, there is a whole list of products that have the MAP pricing from all the manufacturers.  This is in response to the brick and mortar pro shops complaining that they could not compete with the online (no overhead) stores.  By adding the MAP pricing, the online could not sell below a certain price allowing the physical location to compete.

Sales tax is one reason. In CA, that adds $18 to the price. Of course, depending on which online source I purchase from(I.E. Bowlers Paradise), I will still get charged California sales tax. However, if I buy through Buddies Pro Shop, no sales tax and in effect an $18 discount.

Not that I will be buying "The 9's"
