Storm Gadget
« on: August 30, 2007, 06:06:04 AM »
After many years of fighting my lazy wrist, I have decided to get a brace.  I was looking at the storm gadget because of the replacable pads to help with my fat sweaty self. .  Will it change my span and pitches, and if so, how much?

Thanks,

Hi Ryan, to answer your question its possible one or both may need to be adjusted.  I have not worn the gadget but had worn the older model Storm use to make (Strong Arm) plus have tried the Robby Revs and also had worn a Cobra Wrist support many years ago.  The thing I found about all three is that you tend to get out of the ball very quickly so if you are using alot of reverse pitch that may need to be adjusted.  Also if you have your span at the max you may need to relax it just a bit.  Without seeing your grip it would be hard to say.  Your proshop should be able to advise you.  Hope this helps.

go to your pro shop and have them measure your span w/ the support on. if you have it cupped it will affect your grip even more. this is what will cause you to get out the thumb faster in most cases.

Thanks guys, I talked to my driller (he has a pro-shop in his basement, lucky SOB). He said that I use almost no reverse pitch and he is a big fan of a nice relaxed span so it shouldn't affect me that much...

Thanks again
