I'm thinking of getting the dexter heavy metal SST 6 blue and black's. For those of you who have them; how are they?

What's the difference between the SST 6 and the SST 6 LX? Is the performance and different between them? The LX is a little more money and was wondering why?
Has anyone had both of these?

Hey bro,
I believe the only difference between the two styles is that the LX's are made with Kangaroo Leather, which is supposedly softer and feels different. (I'm not sure since I have never had any shoes made with it.)
I have a pair of the Black and Blue SST6's and I like them quite a bit. My only complaint is that the toe area seems a bit wider than my SST5's and my foot seems to have too much space in the front of the shoe. It's not a huge complaint, but worth mentioning. Otherwise, I like them alot.
Hope that helps!

Newer LX's are cabretta leather...Dexter stopped Kangaroo after the first model year due to supply issues...all LX's are now cabretta.
They are a little heavier than the LX's...a good firend of mine has them..he got like 3+ years out of them with a ton of games....
Hope this helps,
Bill

Well I broke down and bought the Heavy metal black and blue sst's 6. This is my first pair of top end shoes. I have found that good shoes are very important to making quality shots.

Imho the SST6's are a good investment. I bowl at a lot of different places and have a long slide, and can always find the right sole/heel combo. The also are a very stable shoe, and make it easier for me to stay balanced at the line.
Hope you enjoy them!
