The EBI booth at Nationals in Vegas is running a 20% off promotion on the (relativiely) new Hammer Boss bowling shoes:
https://hammerbowling.com/collections/men-shoes/products/hammer-boss The Boss model is a durability upgrade from the Force shoes. I already have Dexter 9s and SST6s that I rotate between. Overall, I'm happy with both, so I really didn't need another pair of shoes. But I pulled the trigger anyway.
I bowled a practice session with the Boss shoes for the first time today. It usually takes me 10-20 games to get comfortable with a new pair of shoes, but they felt natural from the first shot. I'd feel comfortable bowling league or a tournament with them right now. I've never worn a bowling shoe that didn't require some break-in period.
I don't know the material they use for the uppers, but it's incredibly soft. Inside, the Ortholite in-soles are cushy and mold around the unique shape of your feet. If Hammer's durability claims hold up, they have a winner, and a shoe that exceeds the overall comfort and performance of most any other shoe available.
If you're in the market for a new pair of shoes, the Boss is more than worth checking out.
