Do they make anything that you can slip over your push-off foot to give you grip? I was thinking about making something like this.

not that i know of but if u buy any of the higher quality shoe the non slide foot is almost always rubber so u can't slide on it and give quite a bit of grip
-

I tried but 1) it feels weird because my normal shoes and my bowling shoes are different heights.2) I dont want to drag any junk onto the deck or into the bowling area.

ABS shoes have the toe cap, which is replaceable. But that is the only thing that I know of that assists in more push off.

I bought some of the Dexter "Kurt" shoes, and they have been great for me as I don't have a huge slide (hardly a slide at all). They have the rubber sole on the right shoe for the pushoff. I paid less than $40 for them. So there are cheaper shoes out there with the rubber sole for the pushoff. Give them a try. Shoot me a message if you want to know where I got them. Thanks.

Kid25, if a bowling show cover (ie: Robby's, Master, etc) that is designed to keep your bowling shoe sole clean and dry away from the lanes let's you slide, then I want a video of it

I have seen more than one bowler forget to take it off, never look at their feet (don't understand that) prior to throwing, and end up flat on their face....right in the middle of the heads!
Those shoe covers don't slide.....ask those that have tried...unintentionally

We have a Bowler's Slide Sock in development that is designed for the push away foot(non slide foot). The sock will give you a start without sliding on the first step. Should be out by summer. It's based off our Patent Pending designs and has some drag protection features built in.
