Cleaning off shoes

Got my new pair of ABS (YAY) and have been bowling with them for only a little while. Seems that they get dirtier every minute. I have shoe covers and stuff that I use to walk off the approach/bowlers area but the bowlers area in my home house is dirty. What is a good way to clean off the grime on your shoes? Is there a good way? I've never heard of one. Fill me in everyone.

Try a wire shoe brush?  Assuming you mean the bottoms of your shoes are getting dirty.  If you mean the top/sides, dont use the wire brush!

Sure do, that is the only reason I think my shoes are not brown and black on the bottoms. But they are still quite dirty, I guess maybe that just comes with the territory? Just wondering. Yes I mean on the bottoms.

I just put this topic up a couple weeks ago,  the answer that worked for me was to take a nail brush and warm water and dish soap and wash the bottom.  Just get the bottom a little wet and the go to school scrubbing.  I have linds and it worked great but the guy said it worked great on his abs too. If you can take the sole off the shoe all the better.  Anyway I then used my moms hair blow dryer to dry them off quickly.  It worked great.

mycroft, im not sure that using water would be the best idea for the abs shoes because the linds are hard leather soles i think (if u hace the classics), and the abs shoes have soft leather with velcrow on them, so im not sure if that idea would work. I would stick with the wire brush....easiest and you can always use it when u need it.

No mine is soft leather too, The problem with the wire brush is it doesn't get out stuff like stepped in beer or soda.  At least i never had anyluck with it.  Go look for the post I had on it and a guy reccomened it, said he did it on his ABS, at least i'm pretty sure he did. It was either under Mycroft009 or Mycroft.

Try using the wire brush attatchment on a dremmell if you have one.
Remove the sole if possible and put the dremmell on med speed and clean away.
My red sole comes up like new.
With just a little pressure though dont dig for China will you.

I don't know if this will work for your ABS shoes, but Linds recommends using warm water (not hot) and a mild detergent and a soft bristle brush for cleaning their soles.  Just be sure to rinse all of the detergent out of the sole before you are through.  And, park the shoe soles in front of a fan to allow them to dry....Linds says DO NOT use heat, as heat can lead to shrinkage of the leather soles.
