Switch Grips

I'm looking at getting some new balls drilled up with switch grips and i've been inquring about pro shops that install them in the kc area   and i've got 2 replys saying they don't install them   "we don't  install switch grips because of quality issues with the material."      anybody body ever had problems or know what there referring to

hi pulsers,

the concern with the "switch grips" has been the possibility of breakage with the tabs(locking mechanism)on the inner sleeves and in some cases, the breakage of the slot mechanism of the outer sleeve.

to date, i've installed approximately 150 outer sleeves and 90 inner sleeves with only two malfunctions.  one was due to installation error and the other to material fatigue.  proper preparation and installation on the pro shop operator's part is crucial to the function and longevity of the switch grip.
recently, turbo has strengthend the tabs on the inner sleeves to withstand even greater amounts of torque by enlarging and increasing the density of the
material.
