I have heard that they will finally release a shoe with an interchangeable heel or some sort of changeable heel this year.  It is supposed to be announced at bowl expo.  I have heard something similar for the last 5 years or more so I'm not holding my breath.

Does it have an interchangeable heel or are they going back to their VHA adjustable heel technology that they worked on 4 or 5 years ago??

Not really supposed to disclose Info but it is interchangeable and probably the best of all of them. You have never seen anything even close to this.

Etonic will unveil them at bowl expo. Expect them around July. I have seen them. Very very cool shoes. Also Randy Weiss wore them on the Dick Weber PBA playoffs television show.

Even if Etonic does come out with an adjustable heel of some type( and we've been hearing this for years ) they are at least 5 years behind 3G, Dexter, and Linds, when it comes to using this technology. With the economy the way it is I see even fewer bowlers buying new shoes than bowling balls. I just bought a new pair of 3G Tour Ultra's for the upcoming season. I've been using this model since they came on the market and wouldn't even think of using any other.

I put off trying Etonics for a long time because of the lack of an interchangeable heel.  I could never get the right slide combo or feel though with any of the other shoes  So I took a chance and tried Etonic.. I tried the stabilite plus and didn't like them because they were just too big and clunky.. I tried a pair of the ESS interchangeables and loved the fit and feel.  To my surprise the heel on the shoes perfectly fits my slide. I have bowled at numerous different houses and somehow I have never had a problem with my heel being too slick or too sticky.   I just change the slide sole and it seems to work.

You couldnt be anymore wrong with this post. The interchangeable technology that Etonic is getting ready to release (if its the same and the sample shoes) is light years beyond dexter and 3G. Pros have been doing a "modified" version for years and now they dont have to. Linds isnt even a respectable bowling shoe company any more and hasnt been for a longgggg time. Dexters have been designing (or it seems like) their new shoes to fall apart. 3G is probably the only company with an edge over the new etonics just becuase of the looks and style of the Tour Ultras.

Light years beyond 3G, as in the Tour Ultra's in interchangeable technology?  Really?  Does the sole/heel automatically change by verbal command or something?

Light years, huh ?

Well let me tell you something. I used to wear Dexters.....for years. I had SST 4's, 5's, and 6's. I had ALL the slide soles and heels that were available on the market and still couldn't find the right amount of slide for me. It was their poor customer service that finally sent me away forever.

I had a pair of Linds Exxxtra's and I thought these shoes were great. The soles and heels worked fine as did the interchangeable discs . Unfortunately, their customer service was just as bad so I bid them farewell.

When I went to the ABS Tour Ultra( then the Dyno-rooz and the 3G Tour Ultra ) I finally found a great bowling shoe AND great customer service. I have six(6)slide soles including the cleat sole for a limitless amount of adjustability. I also have six(6) heels including the adjust-a-heel for the ultimate in adjustability. The pushoff shoe has a replaceable rubber/Kevlar pushoff tip and sole for great traction and wear. The kangaroo uppers are superior to cowhide in both softness and strength. And the construction quality is top notch. To say I'm impressed with these shoes is an understatement. It's going to take more than a commercial or a posters recommendation here to get me to change.

I'm not trying to convince you of anything I too wear tour ultras they are the most comfortable shoes I have ever hhad. But yes I still believe the technology that etonic has put in there new shoes is light years a head of anyone on the market. Will I wear them? Maybe I just got my tour ultras and love them.
