I just recently picked up a pair of the Stabilite Plus, and I was surprised at how light they were on my feet, in addition to being incredibly comfortable. For me, the Stabilite brake heel had less stopping power than my Dexter SST5 LX with the Dexter h5 (horseshoe heel) and a lot less than with the Dexter h2 (rippled heel). With my Stabilites, I wound up using the PS4 [perforated brown leather] sole (I don't really like too long of a slide). I also found that the Stabilites provide a much wider base than my SST5 LX. I even matched them up against my SST 6's that I keep as backups and the Stabilites were just as wide if not a little wider that my SST 6 shoes. After getting over the shock of how much lighter the Stabilites are and getting used to how they perform, I am quite pleased with them. I'm now more anxious to get a hold of the Stabilite Dress model. I think Etonic has put out a quality product and are worth taking the chance on trying them out for yourself, just my 2 cents.
Just to note, I've only been able to use these shoes on synthetic approaches. I haven't had the opportunity yet to try them on wood approaches.
