If you are referring to the ones that look like dress shoes...

Then I have a pair of these. I bought them back in 2005. Just started wearing them Jan 07. Initially, I did not like them. The rubber compound on the shoes was just too tacky and the shoe far too stiff. However, after a few months I'd say in April 07 they finally broke in. They are much more comfortable. Now there is some wear and tear especially on the toe of my trail leg. That seems to be the only area where the rubber has worn down.

I have the Stabilite Dress with a custom shark tooth heel that are great. The comfort of the shoe was never an issue but the original heel was too tacky especially in the summer. So tacky that I could only use them with the PS 10 sole and still had issues. After I changed to the shark tooth heel the degree of slide per sole change became more pronounced and the excessive tack issue was resolved. I have the Stabilite Plus with the stock heel as well but only use them in the winter at my regular center. As far as comfort, IMO, Etonic is unmatched.

well i finally have my etonic stabilite plus shoes, in a beautiful flamboyant lava leather. I had my doubts because i read a lot of complaints about the tacky heel but i didn't had any trouble sliding with them, i didn't even need to break the sole in, i just put the shoes on my feet and starting bowling (of course i was careful in the first two or three shots to be sure they would slide and i wouldn't end with my face on the lane)
i just bowled a couple of games with the ps6 slide sole that was on the shoe, as i liked the slide i didn't change it, but next time i will try the other soles to see what they can do.
by the way the shoe is very hard, very stiff, i like it the way it is but i can see why other people complain about how hard and stiff it is
anyway i'm very happy with them so far, but keep in mind i have just tested them in one pair of lanes in one center, so i don't know how will they perform in other approaches

ohh and by the way, i think they do run somewhat smaller than other bowling shoes

Hi try the stabilite plus yesterday for the first time and it's a very good shoes, the only thing is to take care the first two game with the heel because it's a little slippery. After this ok.

I currently use last years cheap etonic and had no issue other then breaking in the slide pad I also never had any problems with the heel.

I love the Etonic's. I was always a Dexter guy...but the Etonic's were a gift and man are they comfortable. I would easily buy another pair if needed.
