How do you swith the soles of the 3g's using replacements?
I saw some at internet bowling sites, but they're just big rectangular sheets.
Do you have to cut them out or something? If so, how do you do that?
Lastly how do the 3g ultra tours compare with the ss8 dexters? What are the strengths and weaknesses of each?
I apologize for the ignorance but I just wanna make sure I tie up the loose ends before purchasing either pair.

i had a pair of Dynorooz that i bought about 4 years ago, i just purchased the Tour Ultras, I put the number 4 on the slide. I saw a post on hammerbowling.com and a guy mentioned having to cut the replacement slide. So im assuming that it comes in a sheet like you mention. I used to wear dexter before the last 2 pairs, and im not sure about the sst 8s but the 7s were garbage. 3 of my friends had them fall apart, and im pretty sure ill never wear anything but 3G ever again. Highest quality shoe out there In my opinion. all my friends and I have nothing bad to say about the Ultras. Great pair of shoes

Yes, you have to cut them on your own. Just use one of your old soles and use it as a guideline, i would say.

I'v just started using 3G recently, the Ultras, and I prefer them bigtime to my old SST6s... if thats any help!
Also, the kit you get with them is great

dont be afraid to use the dexter soles if they have/had 1 you like you can cut those down to siza also

When I had the Dynorooz, I used to use the Dexter soles AND heels quite often. I like to plant and hate slippage of any kind, so I cut the #1 sole and cut the heel notch in the #1 heel.
Very very comfortable sole.

Depending on the model you purchase, they come with several heel and sole options. The squares you are referring to are replacement parts in the event that you need to replace the ones that came with the shoe. Or if you'd like other options.
Hope this helps.
