The CR "Repeater" wrist support is from Chas. Robinson Ent. Inc.
I just got one and wondered if anyone else here had or used one.
and what you thought of it.
I use a Extended Pro Release, but wanted to try something different.
So I got one of these to play with, its cheap only $20 here.
I've looked at several online proshops and no one seems to have these.
The proshop here sells alot of them. so wondered if they are used
much else where.
My review-
The Repeater is a nice lowcost wrist support. It's similar to a Robby's Gladiator.
It's made from a composite material, lined with a layer foam. So it's very light, I barely felt anything on my wrist. It's held on by 3 velcro straps
that hold it well secured to your arm. It will fit both right and left handed
bowlers just by moving the straps.
It extends over the back of your fingers like the Gladiator. On a larger hand
(like mine) the fingers may extend farther past the end of it than it would
on a smaller hand. Not much though.
It's very open also and allows the hand some freedom of movement. By removing
the hand strap a greater range of motion can be had for cupping and cocking the
hand if needed.
I would have liked a extra piece of foam added at the fingers to back them up more.(to make it thicker there) and maybe extend it a half inch longer. this is just a minor thing for personal preference.
A feature not on the instruction sheet I found. is that you can reverse the repeater on your hand.
This removes the extended part from behind your fingers and still keeps your wrist firm. This would allow another adjustment if needed.
For a low cost wrist support (around $20 US at the proshop here)
it seems a good value.
