I have a pair of Dexter SST6. While bowling a tournament in Las Vegas in the middle of July the heel on the sliding shoe started sticking because of the humidity in the bowling center , so I switched to the red sliding heel and that fixed the issue.
When I returned to home base I continued to use the red sliding heel for the rest of the summer league without any issues.
I'm now in the 2nd week of the fall league and was getting too much slide causing me to be off balance at the foul line so I decided to switch back to my other heel. Bad decision. As soon as I went into a slide the heel stuck and I nearly fell onto the lane.
I normally use alcohol to clean my heels, but remembered that I used ball cleaner before going to Las Vegas. I'm an idiot.
The question is: how do I take the tackiness out of the heels ? Would scuffing the heel with sandpaper help ?
