High End Bowling Shoes

What's up people. Recently got back into the game and am currently throwing in our PBA Experience league. I am currently using the Etonic E Pro ESS Iterchangables. I really like the shoes, but I'm not getting enough slide out of them, and it's really bothering my knee. (Because of the heel.) I had the Dynoroo Ultra's back in the day, but got rid of them when I quit the game. I'm realizing I really need to change my heel, so I'm willing to pay some money for some high end shoes. If you want to give a reply as to why you chose a certain shoe, by all means, please do so; however, it's not required. I'm currently leaning toward the Etonics, but I'd really like to see what folks have to say here. Thanks for taking the time to vote, and I look foward to all of your replies and feedback. ;D

What size Etonics are u looking for? I have a pair of 11 ETours that i've used once and they just don't feel right on my feet width wise. I personally now enjoy Dexters. I was so excited to try Etonics but just don't work for me. If any interest in shoes, pm me.

I don't know what I'd do if 3G somehow didn't make their Tour Ultra's anymore. I won't wear the other two brands listed above. I'd probably try to find a pair of Lind's EXXtra's.

I had used Dexters up until 6 yrs ago and switched to Dynorooz/3g Tour ultras. I also like a long slide. Love the comfort and flexibility of these shoes. Will always use them...

As a pro shop operator with no ties to any shoe company I will not display the E Tour just because of the wear that a customer showed me on the slide shoe and the problem he has with the velcro. However, if a customer comes in and asks for the shoe I WILL GLADLY have them the next day! I do display the other styles of Etonic as well as Dexter, Brunswick,3-G including Tour Ultras and coming soon Storm ( I think made by Dexter)

Interesting. You are correct. Dexter is making Storm's new shoe.

My personal advice would be the 3-G Tour Ultra! I had only worn Linds customs since 1973 and just decided to try the ABS shoe (Dynarooz) when a friend of mine became the first rep for ABS here in the states. Thru the transition that this company has had in the name since then, the quality has remained! Excellent!!!!!!!!
I still have the same pair that I 1st got but now wear another style from ABS that unfortunately is not available here in the states!
At 1 time I did try a Dexter but it felt like I was leaning backwards!. This was quite a while ago and I cannot say that the same feeling would be there today as I have found the brand that is THE MOST COMFORTABLE FOR ME!

RE-reading your original post, I REALLY think the 3-G Tour Ultra is the best for sliding if you tend to have a heel problem. They have the adjustable heel with the different interchangable slides for the front edge. I have had a LOT OF KNEE PROBLEMS (right knee and I'm lefthanded) and just ended up having a complete replacement last March. I really need to have confidence on the slide!!!!!!!!!The shoe that I was able to get came with 7 !!!! different heels at that time.
The other thing that I am lucky to have available is my wife's laser engraver in her awards business. I lasered out different spots on a new slide sole to help with my slide putting the teflon discs in better spots than the general area for my comfort :D

Im a big guy... I need to slide... If I dont I might as well quit for the day. And the same for sliding too much. I use the dynarooz and a new pair of 3G's. The heal is indeed a great benifit as I tend to slide flat footed and on my heal. However, the biggest solution for me was to get the premier II Line at http://www.bowlersslidesock.com/newprod.htm
TRUELY... what a difference. The same slide on wood and synthetics even on sticky synthetics. If you dont need replacable heals (like I do) then any shoe with this slide sock will help to neutralize approaches. The difference is that this slide sock is made with canvas instead of felt. And it is doubled allowing you to turn it inside out. I buy them two at a time because I always give one away.

Mine didnt last long. Waiting for the Storm/Dexter shoes now.

I have noticed on my drag foot with my ETours that it's wearing pretty good, only after a month. and nose piece on shoe is not sticking well. Another bowler on my Baton Rouge team had same shoes and he's the one that pointed it out to me on his. I should have gotten the Dexters.
