Dexter SST7 SE Question
« on: August 25, 2009, 12:49:52 AM »
For those who wear these, how do you like them as far as stabilty, durability, etc., and would you recommend them? I currently have a pair of SST6 LEs, while I like them, the toe area on the pushoff sole is starting to wear down (only had these shoes 2 months. The toe bumper on the SST 7 SEs has me thinking about getting a pair.

Skip the 7's and go to the SST 8s. For me I like them a lot better and I have had both.

I bought a pair of 8s over a year ago and the front of the push-off pad was peeling off the velcro. Do you have a problem with that? Maybe they addressed that issue.

I've had a pair of the SST7s (not the SST7 SEs) and had a problem with the toe bumper guard portion on the sole separate from the the upper.  Granted, I am a toe dragger and I'm hard on all of my pushaway shoes (SST5, SST6 LX) but none of the other shoes had the problem I ran into with the SST7s.  I ended up doing the repair myself or Dexter never responded to any of my requests for customer support.  I just used Shoe Goo to re-bond the sole and I'm good to go, just not nice to look at esthetically.

Those are the issues i am having with the 6 le's Right toe on not slide foot is peeling along with heel is peeling . I have looked at sst7 and 8's because of the toe cap coving but worried about the sst8's traction sole coming off. Anybody have that problem?  I drag my non slide foot really bad . Called dexter and sst6 le's are on there way to them and will see what she send me to replace them
