Switch grips

Have a question on an issue that I have with switch grips. I am having trouble with getting out of them. Seem to "hang up" at the release point and wasn't sure if anyone else has experienced this. Have tried larger sizes of thumb holes. Problem is then I get an open type of feel in the lower part of the thumbhole during the swing that is not comfortable.
I used the thumb molds for a couple of decades and thought this would be better as I was getting older and didn't have the grip strength as in the past. Have already tried adding a slight bit more pitch without much help. Looking for any suggestions of what to do when I experience this during league play and tournaments. Thanks for any help....

I do not use switch grips personally. but a former team mate of mine did use molds with his switch grips. have you tried that? perhaps it could help the issue you are having

Had the same problem after taking 7 years off. Finally remembered to stack tape in the thumb hole. Moves the grip pressure down from the base of the thumb to the pad. Works for me. Can't find it now but there is a good video on you tube showing how to do it.

Yes, that's what I did. I was fighting the release. dropping the ball one shot, hanging up the next. This solved that problem. Now just have to work on timing.
