linds shoes
« on: August 10, 2007, 08:58:01 AM »
i recently posted a report on my new linds exxxtra's. and i still stand by what i saw------top notch quality and construction, great fit and comfort, and plenty of sliding options. however, after today i can not endorse linds shoes in the future. i bought my linds on july 31 and used them as soon as i got them a few days later courtesy of federal express. yesterday, linds posted special prices for pba members on both their website and at pba.com  naturally, i contacted linds to see if i could receive a partial refund/rebate since i just bought a pair days earlier. "judy" at linds was kind enough to respond today saying they couldn't give me a partial refund/rebate but they could give me a linds towel and a linds shirt patch !  i told her the towel would come in handy but i can't wear the patch at pba regionals as i'm not on linds staff. i told her that if that was the best she could offer me then she had just lost a customer. her only reply was "i'm sorry". if i'd known that linds was going to offer special pricing for pba members i would have waited to buy the shoes. you would have thought they could have thrown me a bone and given me the special price.

i've already given up on dexter due to poor customer service and now it looks like linds is added to that list. hey newguy, how long before your 900 global tour ultras are registered with the pba and available for sale ? as soon as i get a pair, i'll gladly sell the linds if anyone is interested.

Ok, things happen. U go to the store and buy some stuff for the regular price, the next day it all goes on sale, u can't go in and ask for the sale price because u bought them the day before. Its just a bad coincidence.

Had I known that the Toyota dealer was going to have a sale the week after I bought my truck I would have waited too. Maybe I can go back there and ask for the difference in price from what I paid.

buddiesproshop.com..........$117

pba member price............$79

difference..................$38

$38 is not a huge amount of money especially in this day and age but it's the principle i'm talking amount. there have been many times in my life where i purchased something------tv, clothing, car, etc., and the circumstances were the same and the company selling the product gave me the discount. customer service is more important now than ever before. my wife and i value this so highly that we usually only deal with companies with the highest levels of service.......honda, l.l. bean, j.c penney, landsend, etc.

again, i'd like to point out that there was nothing wrong with the shoes themselves. topnotch product, substandard customer service.
