Looking at new shoes
« on: June 16, 2013, 12:32:09 PM »
So I am looking at getting a new pair of shoes. I've pretty much trashed the right (non-slide shoe) on my E-Tours and am evaluating a new pair.

I am going to bowl some PBA regional stuff so I cannot consider brands that aren't registered.

That said it looks like Dexter is the source of the pba registered brands.

Dexter has the Tank's coming, the Storm SP900's look interesting, and I had a pair of SST8's and they were okay but they were the original ones so the shoe cracked in the middle, i have heard this has since been fixed.

Anyone has any input on shoes? And what do you guys think about a non bowling shoe for the non slide foot, ex Fagan was doing for a while?

Dexter has a handle on the cracking issue with the SST8's and the Tank traction shoe/sole seriously looks like an athletic shoe and not your typical non sliding bowling shoe's sole...

I was trying to find a picture of the bottom, but can't seem to locate it.

So far I haven't seen anything on the Tank either. The Tank do look like they will hold up well, and the Storm SP900's have construction that make them appear to be pretty durable.

I'm going to wait a little bit until the Tank's get released and see if maybe the PBA starts getting a little more lax on shoes (not holding my breathe) because I really would like to be able to wear 3G Tour Ultras...

Here is a pic of the Tank, where you can see a little of the sole:
