hi, im looking to replace my 2ball bag with a 4. those with a 4ball carrier id like to get some input on why u chose a particular type of whether its the inline or dual stack roller. what are the pros and cons? i really like the look of the inline 3(+1 on top) vs the 2bag stacked roller but i know as far as transporting, the 2ball roller may be easier on your back when removing the bags from the car.
looks like either bag is priced around $100-120 on ebay. any other deals online for these 4ball bags?

I really don't like inlines just because of the total weight to pick-up!!!!!

in lines take up a lot of floor space. when you are bowling in a 5 person team league, there is only so much floor space for everyone. the double stack bags take up must less space. also as has already been mentioned, heaving the inlines in and out of your car can be quite a load.

If I were to buy a 4-ball roller (thinking about it, but for the money, I can get another ball <g>
, I'd get a stacked 2x2 one instead of the inline one for several reasons. First, my 3-ball roller is already tipsy from side-to-side. Unless I come over bumps square (even small ones), the thing wants to twist on its side.
Second, as others have said, it takes as much room on the floor as a 3-ball bag, basically three balls long. A 2x2 stacked only takes up the space of two balls.
Third, you can remove the top half of a 2x2 stack and put the bag in your car in two pieces. My 3-ball bag is heavy enough, even with my wife's 12# ball instead of a 15#. I don't want to pick up four balls at once any more than I have to.
Fourth, I don't want to lose that much space up top to the fourth ball. The 2x2 stacks look like they have more space more sensibly divided up.
Finally, most 2x2 stacks will accept a third row, and kits exist to add them to make a six-ball bag.
Oh, yeah, and if you don't mind last year's bag (and can find one), RG makes one that's red.

I have one comment on carrying 4 balls. I own a KR 4 baller which is the lane? cant remember it now. Old age, but I am a kinda big guy who is over 50 and they don't get lighter with age. Take my word for it.

I purchased a stacked 4 ball roller a couple of months ago, it's a KR Lane Rover. Very easy to get in and out of the trunk and has lots of storage compartments for 'stuff', I really like it.

Thats the bag I have. I feel its a great bag with all kinds of storage and moves easily. As far as getting it out of the trunk, just wait a few years.

I also have the KR Lane Rover 4 ball bag and I love it. It's even easier to use than my old 3 ball inline when it come to putting it in and out of the car/truck. My back is also a lot happier. It also is much more stable when rolling due to its 6 inch wheels. All-in-all a great bag.

In-line 4 bags are a beating to get in and out of your vehicle.. I would not recommend this type of bag at all. I have had a couple different models and they all are bulky to pick up..
I recommend a nice 3 ball inline roller and a single or 2 ball tote bag. Thats what I do and it works out great..

One day when I grow up I hope to be able to throw the ball AND carry as good as g_thing!!

I have a Lane #1 3 ball roller. I have to put it in my Trans Am's passenger seat like a person, with the seat belt on. It's about 55 pounds loaded down and heavy to get in and out. Makes me wish I went 2x2 stacked. 2x2 seems like more work to get it in and out, but I'd think the extra minute of effort would be worth it.

Remember if you have a stacked 2x2 with 4 15# balls and shoes and extras, you have close to 75-80 pounds with the bag or more. It might take an extra minute to get your back straight after lifting that much weight.

But you can do it in pieces. The 4-ball inlines will always be 75+ pounds, the 2x2 stacked could be 35# at a time.

You mean the 2x2 comes apart and you dont have to lift all that weight?

You guys rock! I was contemplating replacing my 4 ball roller with an inline one, but after reading these posts I am going to get a new Storm Rolling Thunder 4 ball bag. My old Storm 4 ball roller is coming up on 9 years old and is starting to wear out. Thanks again!
