Master Tape Insert Tool
« on: September 08, 2003, 11:18:29 AM »
For those of you who use Bowler's Tape, you could really do yourself a favor and invest $3 in one of the Master Tape Insert Tools.  It is nothing more than a preformed piece of plastic, but it allows you to precisely align the tape right where you want it when you go to insert thumb tape.  The two flexible fingers grab the side edges of the tape and hold it while you position the tape where you want it.  The Tape Insert Tool beats the heck out of using a pocket knife or whatever to try to install thumb tape, and the tool makes it easier to stairstep multiple pieces of tape in the hole.  It's a simple little gadget that allows you to install the tape, plus it has a pick that will allow you to remove one piece of tape at a time too.

If you frequently use thumb tape, then a Tape Insert Tool is a worthwhile investment.  If your local Pro Shop doesn't keep the tape tools in stock, they can easily order you one in from the Master catalog.

It's also an excellent target for those who feel it necessary to help themselves to my stuff. I've lost 3 already.
My hubby drilled a hole in mine, and I put a keychain through it and hooked it to my accessory bag. Makes using it a little cumbersome, but I've actually kept this one around!

I have a bunch of these in stock and the locals don't seem to grasp the concept of how it is used. If anyone places and order with me, keep that in mind. I can ship one along for the $3 10 I T P quotes.

They truly are a great thing. I see tons of guys struggling with tape and I never ahve a problem. It does not work at all with the 1/2" but the 3/4 and 1" are fine.
