I finally got a lesson from a great coach and he got me to develop a slide.  Problem is I'm having a hard time with my shoes, they don't seem to slide much and I feel like I'm going to fall on my face.  In order to develop my slide I would like some new shoes that give me some options for different slide pads.  I hear a lot of people have the SST's... but there's so many different kinds!  I have an average side foot (10) ... regular width, right handed player.  I'd like to spend as little as possible but still have as many interchangables as possible.  Any recommendations?  And website to get them from?

The SST's seem like the way to go for changable slides.  I really like the SST 5 Sport, whites.  However they are about $90.  For $20 more I could get the SST 6 LX's... a newer model... not sure if there's a lot better about them or not, but they come with 4 soles and 4 heels and the SST5's only come with 2 slides and 2 heels.  Grrrr.....  I don't know if I like the style as much tho.  I'm torn... someone make a decision for me I feel like a woman.

Ok Nice to get another opinion I will look into those shoes as well.  What exactly is it about them that you like better?  The way they fit?  The way the pads go on?  Anything specific you can point out?

I gave in and bought the SST 6's, blue/black from buddies.  I think having more slide pads to start with will help me figure out my slide better.  Plus I decided something a little flashy would be fun for a change, boring white doesn't sound like any fun.  I'm so excited!  All I thought about last night was SST5... SST6....bowling.... SST5....SST6... lol.  Must...bowl....more!
