Shoe question.
« on: October 16, 2004, 06:24:48 AM »
Getting ready to pop for a new pair of shoes.  I've always had Lind's in the past.  Currently I have the Exxxtras and I love the hell out of 'em since they are so adjustable.  I'm leaning towards the Dynorooz Tour series.  Does anyone out there have these shoes?  What do you think of them?  I'd like to know your thoughts on the slide soles and on overall comfort.  I'll admit, my Lind's are not at all comfortable.  Thanks for the feedback.  Dropthedouche278, please don't reply.  We all know you wear ballerina slippers when you bowl!

Hey there, I have the tour ultras. I have never worn Linds shoes so I can't give a direct comparision but I used to wear dexters and the ABS are in my opinion as far as comfort goes much better. The slide soles and heals seem to hold up as well as the dexters did and I have had no problems at all with my shoes and have had them for about a year and a half. Thats my opinion anyway. If I can answer any more questions just pm me.

Thanks, cooksey

Thanks to cooksey for the reply, but these are popular shoes.  Is there anyone else on here that would care to comment on them?  I trust this mans opinion, but I sure wouldn't mind more on the subject.

I have a pair of xxxtra's and have owned a pair of kid-pro ams from dynothane for 5 months. Let me tell you, the comfort difference is phenominal. The leather is very soft and light, and the padding for the sole is very comfortable and thick. They are the most comfortable shoes i own, and also offer more support than the xxxtras.
The soles and heals have held up well for me, although i've heard that the dotted heals do not hold up well at all. I didnt like my xxxtras because they were uncomfortable and the waffle inserts wore down too fast. I do not have to change heals often, but when i do, the dyno's offer a little more versatility as there is more surface area available to change.
The one thing nice that i always liked about the xxxtras is that they slid a lot. Dynothanes do not slide as much, unless you get the felt sole and red leather heel. I used a red leather heel from dexters when i first got the dynothanes (cut a hole in it) and it slid too much, and i have since converted to the flat light grey heal and number 5 sole. It took a while to break in these two, but once i did, it slid a lot more then when i first got the shoes. STill doesnt slide as much as my linds(i'm not using the lowest sole or heal obviously), but i now have adjusted my game a little bit and just don't slide as much.
