Title: Post your bags
Post by: GCSurfer on September 25, 2006, 09:47:56 AM
Just curious what kind of bags everyone is using. Please list any likes or dislikes. I'm currently shopping for a new bag and looking at these two:
http://www.bowling.com/products/brunswick-competitor-double-roller-black.htm
http://www.bowling.com/products/columbia-300-ez-rider-2-ball-roller-black.htm
Thanks
Also what do you look for in a bag, pockets, room, material???

I have a 3-ball Storm Streamline that's about three years old.  It's held up very well except for one zipper on the front pocket.  It's off-track and the pull handle is bent pretty badly from trying to get it back on track.  The other works, and they're both off to the side, so I can still get into the pocket.

I really like the fact that the ball cups are deep.  A few others around here have Brunswick and Ebonite bags and they complain that the ball cups are pretty shallow and allow a good bit of movement.

The bag has plenty of room for accessories, though I wish I had the newer one with two smaller pockets instead of one long one, as little things tend to slide all over the place and get in the way of putting my shoes away.

This is what I have, easy to get through when the isles are crowded.

Just make sure what ever bag you get try to get the large wheels on the bag. Makes it much easier to use.

I have a KR Special Edition 3 ball bag.  Great quality product, lots of room.  Never had a problem with it for the past 5 years.

I also have a Lane Master Tote bag for the extras...

I have the same bag as Saint Jake and I'm very happy with it.  This is my second one and they hold up really well against baggage handlers at the airport

P.S. - Mine's navy/black

I was thinking about getting this one to replace my two ball roller. My biggest concern is the stability. Do you ever have problems with it tipping to the side because the wheels are too thin?

i have a brunswick 3 ball roller( the black and yellow one ) and a brunswick 2 ball tote( the black and yellow one ). both work great and are very durable. i also have a brunswick joey for when i want to attach a fourth ball to the 3 ball bag---what a great idea. it really fits snug and works well.

I have the kr se 3-4-5 same as brunswick option i love mine the wheels are very wide and make it very stable and easy to manuver only thing is i wish the outer bag had a steel shank in it to make it solid it isnt tippy but the bag does flex quite a bit in that spot and i was thinking it might get weak after a while but that is what the 5 year warranty is for hope this helps some

I use almost the same exact set up. I just use the blu brunswick tote instead of the yellow one.

No problems with stability as of yet.

The only thing I have seen is the weight getting the bag in and out of vechile, if you dont have enough umph !!!!

I have the following bags:

http://www.bowling.com/products/track-premier-4-ball-roller-blue-black.htm

Love this bag.  Really sturdy.  Only complaint is that there is not enough pocket space.

http://www.bowling.com/products/track-premier-2-ball-tote-blue-black.htm

Nice little 2 ball tote to match my four ball roller

http://www.bowling.com/products/kr-eliminator-3-4.htm

Not really crazy about this bag.  The seem for the zipper ripped out and I have a zipper that has already came for track and is lost.  Bag is only 6 months old.  Plus parts of the handle is breaking off.  This bag pretty much stays in the closet.  Bag also needs more pocket space.

http://www.bowling.com/products/kr-tournament-double-tote-black-red.htm

The bag I have resembles this one although it is orange not red.  Bag is an excellent 2 ball tote.  Haven't had any problems with it

http://www.bowling.com/products/kr-rave-single-black.htm

Nice little add a ball option that fits on the handle to one of the 4 ball bags.  Adds a little extra storage space since I am not using the shoe compartment.

I just got a Lane1 3-ball roller.  Great bag.

http://www.bowlinggods.com/proddetail.asp?prod=LAN%2D3%2DBALL%2DROLLER

In addition to what the description says it has 5" wheels which make a big difference in ease of handling.  I cannot fill all the storage pockets on it.

I also have the Brunswick 3-4-5 bag.  After owning this one, I will never go back to a bag like the Rolling Thunder (I had this one before the Brunswick).  I hated trying to manuver the big clunker bag through a crowded center.

Just bought the Pro Players Squared Triple roller (black and silver one) as well as the black and silver Players Tote. Looking forward to transfer everything over to those instead of carrying the top to my very old KR 4 ball bag and a tote. Thanks to Buddies Pro Shop for fast shipping on this as well.

I use a 3 ball roller, an overseas edition fro Brunswick.

http://www.michaels-proshop.de/shop/img/bags/brunswick/roller/int-3-47-g-2.jpg

These rollers appeared en masse and cheap during spring, so I replaced my 2 year old roller despite the flashy colors.

This Brunswick International Zone 3 Ball Roller is very spacious, with many additional pockets (you can never have enough space for other stuff) and it even has some velcro strips inside to hold the balls in their cups when you travel or haul the thing around. You can also place a lock on the zippers, also for travel convenience (and handy when you go to a tourney where you have to leave the roller somewhere in the back of the lanes wher you cannot keep your eye on it permanently). I also like the big, broad and soft padded wheels which make for a silent roll and increase handling convenience.

Only drawback so far is the handle mechanism - it is integrated into the handle and does not work smoothly.

Additionally, I use a 2 ball tote (also a cheap International Brunswick bag) or an Ebonite 1 ball clip bag for the roller handle.

The wife and I have several bags we use depending on where we are heading, this is the 4 ball roller from KR that I use, it's the Lane Rover, I like it cause it comes apart, for an old f*rt like myself, much easier to get in and out of the vehicle.

http://www.bowlerstore.com/pc-547-17-kr-lane-rover-4-ball-bag.aspx

A hammer 2 ball that's been a great addition because of the extra compartment between the shoes and where the balls go.

And not least, a Storm 2 ball roller

I have a Storm StreamLine 4, love the bag, 3 wheels, large ones, I'd say look at that line.

For my wife's laides league, she has a BSI 2 ball roller, handles on both ends , easy for her to lift, she loves it, never had a tipping problem, she says.
