Is there much of a difference in the quality, feel and lifespan between vise and contour finger inserts? Thanks
Ron

Some of the older Contour tear fairly easy and a couple of the colors are pretty slick. ! nice thing is the larger sizes still fit in a 31/32 hole

1. I find the Vise-Grip slightly firmer than the Contour Power grips yellow, except the transparent ones which seem equally tacky.

2. Vise-Grips are also slightly larger for the same size.
With Contour I use 25/32" and 3/4". Vise-Grip's 25/32" and 3/4" are too large for me. I use their 49/64" and 47/64".

3. Different colors in Contour have different firmnesses. I find the red and silver firmer than the yellow, purple, and the orange, which I prefer. The red were almost inflexible and tore easily when I tried to put shims in the back of the hole for sizing.

Nowadays I stick with Contour's yellow. It just makes life easier.

Agreed, and I barely bevel them.

Is it just me or do the clear vice inserts run just a little small compared to their colored counterparts and they also feel a little softer, as well...or, am I just "feeling" things..?

See my reply. I thought they were softer than the others, more like the Contour Power Grip inserts.

I like vise clear because they feel softer. I think the reason they are softer is because there is no pigment.

It's an old saying I learned in French class in high school. It may not be Canadian French.

Does Contour have a website? I could find the Vise site but when I Googled Contour all I got was a listing of sites that carried them.  Thanks

The company that makes contour is called Pro Sports.  Not sure if they have a web site.
