Well I have finally broken down and decided to pony up for a nice pair of bowling shoes. I usually bowl 5-10 games a week, and am looking for my first performance shoe. I really like the Dexter 5 LX interchangeable sole, but see they make a 6 and 7 as well. Are there any real differences other than cost and the 2 extra soles?
Also, are there companies I should look at harder, or stay away from entirely? Any advice would be great. Im looking in the neighborhood of 150ish. I'm a 10.5 and right handed if thats important..

D <~~~~ Used to be terrible wiffing 10 pins. Now through much practice, can wiff any single pin spare at any time.

I used to love Dexter SST series but I found the non-slide foot toe would not even last an entire season. I loved the feel and they were very comfortable but I was buying a new pair nearly every year.
Then, I tried some ABS (Dyno-Thane) Kangaroo's (Dyno-roo's) with the toe cap on the non-slide foot. Same comfort and feel as the Dexters, maybe a tad lighter. But, I have had my current pair for two years this Christmas and passed on a new pair because these are still in great shape.
I bowl four leagues a week, tournaments many weekends, and at least one day of practice.
Yes, they are more expensive but to me they have been worth it. Consider the ABS shoes, you won't be disappointed.
