Dexter shoes vs Abs shoes
« on: May 04, 2004, 09:32:12 PM »
I'm looking to get a new pair of shoes to replace my Dexter SST 1's. I'm looking at Dexter SST 5's or the ABS Tour Ultra's. Does anyone have any experience with either pair of these shoes?  Thanks for any input.

If you are hard on you shoes (dragging the toe, scuffing, etc.) go with Linds or ABS if  you get good life from a pair of shoes the Dex's are more cost efficient. I have had SST5's currently have SST6's and ABS Tour Ultra's, all are good shoes. The Ultra's are like wearing slippers they are so light.

In the past, I had always worn Dexters.  They were comfortable and good.  The only problem was that the right toe would wear really bad.  I would get about one season from a pair of shoes.

Then, I bought some ABS Kangaroos with the toe cap on them.  I love them.  I am well into my second year with these shoes and they are still in good condition.  They are also just as comfortable as my Dexters ever were.  I would say that the slide sole/heal combinations are about the same on both pair of shoes.

When it comes time to replace them, I will buy another pair of ABS shoes.
