For a good pair of bowling shoes, you would have to go with Linds, Classics (high end) or Champs (mid level). I also shuffle my feet during my approach. My Linds fell apart on me after 10 years. I brought Dexters SST4 and I had a hard time adjusting to the traction sole. It changed my timing a lot but it took some time to adjust to it. Once in a while you would hear a loud sqeek during my approach. I have a friends who also shuffles, he tried 2 different pairs of Dexters. Even try to rub of the gum sole on them and still was not good. He is using Classics again. I'm actually thinking about going back to Linds Classic. Remember not to get the Linds Special Edition because they have the gum traction soles also. Good luck!
