Shoes for PBA Comp...
« on: September 12, 2008, 04:24:33 AM »
I have an almost new pair of Dyno-Roos, but am saddened to find that I can't uses them in PBA competition.  I swear I will NEVER buy another pair of Dexters.  Both pairs I had fell apart in about a year.  I love my Dyno's, and have heard some bad things about the 3G's.  I'm kinda leary about the Etonic's.  Any sugestions?

If you've heard bad things about 3G, Then you've heard bad things about Dynoroos.

Dynos = 3G

they are all made by ABS bowling in Japan.

What bad things have you heard about 3Gs?  They are Dynos with a new label, just as Dynos were ABS with a new label.  If you love your Rooz like the rest of us do, get a pair of 3Gs.

I had the ABS Sport Deluxe (I think, been a while) and recently got the 3G Tour Ultras..  Love em...

And Valentino is right..  ABS=Dynothane=DynoRooz=3G (shoe labels)

one of the funky hinged eyelets pulled out of the leather on mine, found out from the pro shop owner his did the same thing along with two other guy's, mine and one of the other guys pulled out while bowling and the other two pulled out when they were cinching them up. They are, however, very comfortable. I am in the process of sending them back, I am just glad I have my sst6lx's still to use while this is going on.

I like my tour ultras and all of my sst's. I like both pair of my 7's more than the older one because I drag my plant foot a lil so the rubber would always peel up..

With both my Dexter's (SST 5 Classic and SST 6 LX) the same thing happened.  The velcro was comming off the shoe and the toe on my push food would tear arpart.  I was planning on bowling a TQR or U.S. Open, so I want to be able to wear something.  I read another post that said the 3G's weren't put together as well as the Roo's.  That's why I asked.

i've had two pairs of dynorooz sport elite cabretta's and a pait of 3G tour ultras. the quality has been top-notch on all three. i wouldn't dream of buying any other brand of bowling shoe.

I have a pair of Etonic Stabelites, I really like them, they have held up real well.  They will be a little stiff the first few times until you get them broke in.

thats surpeising. i have never heard of a pair of SSTs ffalling apart that quick. my dad has had his SST6 for like 6-8 yrs and all thats wrong is the rubber on the bottom of the shoe is wearing away like it usually does with any shoe. i have also had my SSTs for two years now and have only replaced the heels and soles. they look like new still

Yeah, the velcro pad on the shoe it self would peel off.  I'm really picky about my slide so I'm always changing heels and soles.  I'm very happy with my Dyno-Roo's, but I can't use them in the US Open.  It baffles me that something that was leagal 2 years ago is not usable now. Oh well.

I've had ABS, then Dynos, and now 3G's - all as a result of PBA registration.  I haven't seen any decrease in quality.  They seem the same to me.  I don't want to use anything else.

I believe with dexters if you send them back they will send you a new pair.

Again not 100% sure but my friend has done this is the past.

If you like dyno get the 3g they are the same thing.
