Sport Ultra vs Tour Ultra and 3G vs Dynothane
« on: April 26, 2014, 08:25:01 AM »
Looking at the Sport Ultra, it looks like there is a possibility that both shoes are kangaroo leather, with the only difference being the number of soles and heels available. Can anyone verify that for me?

Also, are the following two statements true or false?

-The hook and loop construction and slide insert sizing between the 3G brand and the older Dynothane brand make them interchangeable (I believe the answer is yes)...

-Same question about interchangeability between current Sport and Tour

Thanks in advance

Steve,

The 900G web site (which I'd guess should be THE source for info about the 3G shoes) indicates the Sport Ultra shoe uses leather (cow) as the outside,

while the Tour Ultra uses kangaroo for the outside,

I never had the Dyno-Thane version; so I can't comment on that. I'd have to guess that that aspect wouldn't change. (Heck, I can use my 3G cleats (inserts) on my Dexter SST VIIIs, once I cut the right sized holes in one of their own soles.)
