slick tape problem

I bought a sample of slick tape.  It was OK.  but it was a pain getting it out.  It left a lot of residue and it took 10-15 minutes to get it off.  Also, this is not the first tape like this.  My dad's center stocks the same exact type of tape.  Slick tape is decent, but could use  a little work.  Maybe a little thinner too.

Pro Grip makes a product called Tape Residue Remover. Great for removing glue from thumbholes and taking patches off thumbs.

The Slick Tape is much-much thinner than the kind you are talking about at your Dad's center. I can't remember the brand, but I am familiar with what you are talking about as I have used it in the past. As for getting the residue out of thumb hole, I have had no problems with the Slick Tape. Have you left your ball in a hot car or some other hot place? That will make any tape hard to remove.

Well, message me with your address and i'll send more. I have a feeling that the temperature might be toasting the glue a bit. My equipment lives in my car trunk in Florida, so I doubt heat could be the culprit. It's a fine line between having stay put and being able to get it off when you need to! I'm going to be here and stand behind the product .

I also find this hard to believe, but anything is possible.

I wonder if the hole was clean BEFORE you put the SlickTape in?

Master Industries has a similar product called QUick Release thumb insert tape, but Slick Tape seems to have several distinct advantages over that one.
