Title: SST 7 Question
Post by: Canuck on June 10, 2006, 06:00:34 AM
Alright guys here's the situation,

I'm in the market for a new pair of shoes as my LX's are really worn out.

I'm looking at the SST 7's but am slightly concerned about how on the slide foot the rubber extends just above where the sole ends-so in fact it's actually on the sliding area.

Just wondering if this has given anyone troubles.

Depending on what I hear I may purchase the 7'ss or just buy another pair of LX's.

Thanks

well i haven't had any issues when i've used them (i steal my buddies and use them when he isn't around) but the toe can be sanded down a bit if its in the way, its really not a big deal and if you have issues you will get used to them in less than a game

Saw someone that just sanded the rubber down and moved the slide soles forward to cover that area.  Seemed to be a possible solution, but why spend more on the SST7's just to alter them like that?

Acutally, I'm from Mississauga.

Thanks for the replies guys.

Definitely leaning towards getting another pair of LX's.

I've had no problems with my pair of 7's.  The little rubber portion at the toe of the shoe has not had any effect on my slide or anything else so far.  In fact, my slide is a lot more controllable now than it was before.

I recommend.
