SST 6 LZ vs SST 8 fit.
« on: February 26, 2013, 10:58:39 AM »
I have no idea if I have mentioned this before, but I love my Dexter SST 6 LE, with the kangaroo leather. Had them since they came out, I think, and I think it's time to retire them. I tried a pair of 3G Tour Ultras, and the shoe is too long, it feels. The 6's have a nice squared off toe, it looks like. I haven't even laid hands on the 8's yet, but think they're swank. The 6 LZ's look nice too, but I want what fits best.

Anyone have any suggestions? My feet are kind of small as well (My sst's are 6.5) so I don't have big feet to make up for poorly fit shoes. Or, I could just wear these to death. :P

Men that have either small or narrow width feet have to improvise. You could try the women sizes which run are more on medium width or narrow. The womens size would be about 1 1/2 or two sizes larger than the men size. If you wear a 6 1/2 men's you would be close to the womens size 8. The women's and men's bowling shoes look the same in the Dexter SST and G3 Ultras. The men's SST 10 seems to run bit larger than the SST6 in my opinion.

Most pro shops really don't have that many shoes or bags in stock, so you can look or try on. The pro shops that have a larger inventory are the ones that have a lot of tournaments and more traffic. If you buy on line, you you need to know the fit and how they look before you buy or pay extra for a correct size policy.

I'm sort of in the same boat. I wear SST 6 in a size 14. They are a little long, but fit the width. I found this online:

It appears that the SST 8 are a tad bigger fitting. I ordered 13 2E and we shall see how the fit goes. My guess is that its closer to a 13.5 2E.
