Time to replace my DynoRooz
« on: April 14, 2013, 04:23:12 PM »
Ok, after somewhere around 13 years (I've lost track), it's time to replace my Dynorooz. I wanted to stay with White/Silver, but I'm left handed. Looks like my only option is black!!!??! Can't be true. How prejudicial would that be...

No way black is the only color for all us lefties.. Seriously? Anyone seen it in other colors?

What prejudicial bull crap! They're great shoes, but I just might have to switch brands. There are certainly enough lefties in the world to warrant the same color choices.

The new Storm top end SP900 shoes are very nice in my opinion. They are built for them by Dexter but I like a couple of the construction features better than the SST 8's.

They come in a solid black or in white with bkue and yellow accents. The white seems a little loud in pics and on the shelf but I noticed a guy wearing them last week and they look good on the feet.

Anyhow....good luck.

I am also LH and I need them in wide
my only option was the sst8's and they have been great
had dyna-rooz for 5-7 years and switched to the 8's a few years ago.
heavy use for 3 seasons straight(including 2 summer leagues) and they are still doing fine

Dave,

Did you ever try on a pair of the 3G Tour Ultras?
I take a 4E and they fit me perfectly as long as O don't wear super-heavy winter socks.
I know you're set with your SST8s for now, but the Tour Ultras will fit a wide.

I have had to go through the same thing as the other wide footed lefties on here.

SST8s really being my only option.  Well I feel I am back bowling maybe better than ever immediately.

My other shoes were a second level Dynorooz adjustable pair but I only used the push off foot, and blended with my SST 6s slide foot.  (long story involving theft from me).

Anyway, my all time favorite shoes are my SST5s in wide but these SST8s may be almost as great or great!

I have more push off traction(and speed) than I have for a long time.  My rear toe is dragging again and controlling the speed and length of my slide for the first time in years!

Could be fun!

Luckylefty
PS also discovered the changeable inserts feature inside these shoes (also a feature of my SST6s and this is helping me with some foot problems I had been suffering with!, thank you orthotic inserts for the improvement!).

Lefty,

What I said to Dave, applies also to you.
Have you ever tried on a pair of 3G Tour Ultras?
I know they say "Medium" but I take a 4E and they fit me just fine.

I know it's often hard to find a place that stocks them and will let you try them on.

Charlest,

I have not had that opportunity.

But I look forward to it!

Lucky & Dave,

I'm not saying dump your SST8s if they work for you.
I'm just saying to see if the Tour Ultras fit, to give you another option when you again do need new shoes. Until a friend almost forced me to try on his, I also ignored them because they didn't come in a "wide".
