Storm and Brunswick Bags
« on: January 21, 2006, 01:11:29 AM »
I built my arsenal primarily of Storm and Brunswick Balls.  Now, I need to replace my ageing bowling bags.  Looking for opinions on two ball bags, either roller or totes (need both, have 6 bb's in need of storage/luggage).  Any suggestions on the various Storm and Brunswick lines would be welcome.  Looking for something very durable, that can be tossed around on airplanes and easily moved and kicked around paddocks/crowded tourneys.

Kegler X

The Bowling Ball Manufacturing Kingdom Scorecard (hint: they are all good)
Brunswick ***** (King)(Budweiser/Anheuser-Busch)[make Elite, Lane#1, MoRich]
Storm ***** (Prince)(Coors)[make Roto Grip, Dyno-Thane, Circle Athletics]
Columbia **** (nobleman)(Miller)[make Track, AMF]
Ebonite *** (jester)(Strohs)[make Hammer]
Visionary (no current rating)(wizard)(microbrew?)
Lanemaster (no current rating)(knight)(more microbrew?)
[Note: The end companies usually spec out their own balls]

If you are looking for a 2-ball that will fit in an average size locker, than I would go with the Storm 2-Ball locker roller (My wife uses this...plenty of room for a pair of shoes).  Other than that I would get whatever has the best price.

I carry different brands of bags and all have good and bad points.
I have have handle problems with Brunswick and Columbia.Storm have been durable only a few problems with the Streamlines. So far I haven't had any problems with Lane#1 or KR Strikeforce even though they are made by Brunswick.Hope this helps you out.

The Storm Travelines are nice for travel, Just a suggestion have you seen the DONKEY products they look pretty tough. Other wise I have a Roto Grip 4 ball roller same as the Storm and it's a very sturdy bag, however I am leaning toward 2 2-ball totes as long as I can get shoes and acessories in there also. You know that Carl Sandburg was quoted "Youth is Wasted on the Young" the older I get the more sence that statement makes.
