sst 8 feedback
« on: August 08, 2012, 09:33:02 PM »
Hey guys. Looking at buying a pair of sst 8 black/alloy color. My push off toe on my 6s is severely worn from the past 6 years of toe drag. It wasn't til this past January that I broke myself from that. It was part of a subconscious timing mechanism. No longer an issue. I've heard and read nothing but good things about these shoes. Just wondering if there is anything that would keep me from buying a pair. Also wondering how they will fit compared to my 6s.  Any and all help is appreciated. Thx.

I have had the same issues with the non-sliding soles because of dragging my toes. I believe that this is a minor defect with the shoes that should be address, however I would recommend possibly buying SST6 shoes or SST5 shoes depending on the shape of your feet, I will probably purchasing SST5's has my next pair of shoes.

Definitely has nothing to do with abusing the shoes. I only bowl once or twice a week and take care of all of my equipment. I had a pair of sevens that have lasted more than two years and are still in good shape.

The eights do have a design defect. Dexter should step up, admit it and make things right with people that purchased them.

I will never buy another pair of Dexters because I do not patronize poor customer service.

I have had issues with one of the heels staying on (red heel, forget #). I'm on my third one. I called Dexter and also got the run around about take them back to your local shop, blah, blah, blah. The girl wasn't even pleasant about it. At this point, I will not be buying anymore Dexter shoes. I've had this pair for 1 1/2 years. The last pair I had was one of the original SST series shoes. I used them for nearly 25 years and never had an issue. They just finally wore out. It looks like Dexter has let cost cutting measures result in quality loss.
