Storm SP 800 Bowling Shoes - Black/Neon Lime
« on: November 22, 2016, 11:07:53 PM »
Buddies has these on sale for $85 right now with plenty of size options (left and right) available. That's too good of a deal for me to pass up on. I know they're made by Dexter and should be of fairly high quality but that's about it. Came out in 2013 but it's not like shoe technology has changed a whole lot. I like the looks a lot too. Pretty happy with this impulse buy... any reason I shouldn't be?

They're both good, but different types of shoes. One isn't necessarily "better" than the other. The TPU's are softer, while the Storm shoes offer a little more support and will be more durable.

As always, it depends on what feels better on the feet.

Yep. I tried out the new Hammer shoes, which are basically the same as the TPUs and the Pyramid and KR Strikeforce models, a couple months ago at a Hammer demo day. They were definitely a different feel. Not sure in a good way, but it was also a very limited sample size. Haven't had a problem with comfort for Dexters so I'm reasonably confident in the SP 800s being nice enough.
