Storm/Roto 3-Ball Tournament Bag
« on: November 16, 2009, 04:58:43 AM »
I was just wondering how this bag holds up?  I need a new bag and like the streamline look and the price on the bag.  How well does it protect your bowling balls and shoes?  Thanks for any input.

It's a good bag but I'd recommend going with the Vise bag instead....

A friend has the Storm, and his always seem to fall over when he turned to hard. I have Vise and they are more stable, plus you can add the shoe bag on top.

I just took my Brunswick bag on a trip to FL and it handled very well.
I would highly recommend it.

If you are speaking of this bag.

http://www.buddiesproshop.com/product/5546/Storm_Tournament_3-Ball_Bowling_Bag_-_Black.htm

I have had one for a year and purchased it because I live upstairs and have to carry.  I went for the lighter weight.  I am not hard on equipment but within a year a rivet from the runners underneath has poked thru and nicked a ball sitting inside and the runners underneath have broken.

I would stay away or go with a Vise 3 ball which I also have and is a much better built bag.

which one are you talking about?? the streamline or the tote?  I was looking at the tote ( first link ) with the removable shoe and accessory bag

3 ball tote with accessory bags

I have had both of the styles. The first one had the shoe pouch and accessory kit on the side. The shoe kit slightly dragged on the ground wearing a hole in it. This is the only problem I have ever had with that style bag. I have used it 3 years in a row now to fly to USBC's and those airline baggage "handlers" beat the living crap out of that bag and it still is in one piece.

The second one or current style was nice with the extra pouchs on top. The kind and friendly airline guys broke the runner underneath on the first trip I took it on.

The nice thing about both is the wider wheel base. This makes cornering much easier.

I just bought one of the new Turbo 3 ball rollers. The shoe pouch straps on top of the bag. The wheel base is wider than the Storm/Roto ones and it corners like it has rack and pinion steering.
