can't walk straight....

My long and wobbly legs sometimes cause me to miss my intended spot at the foul line by 3 boards. I know  I should try to strengthen them but at the same time, should I replace my 30 years old Brunswick Classic shoes? They seem to be long and slender at the bottom and not that stable......... Are newer design shoes much more stable?

Too much beer?

Most of the newer shoes are much, much, better but you'll have a short break-in period.

I was all set for Dexter until I read some not so good reports on them( in this forum). Now I am more inclined to Etonic.

Indeed I have decided wider shoes are a "must try".

my abs (3G) shoes had no break in period. Took them out of the box and bowled in league.

I bought a pair of SST 7's and they are wider then any shoe that I have owned. So to answer your question, yes. The newer shoes are wider depending on which ones you choose.

And as was said before, the break in on them is very short. I think I bowled with them for 6 games and they felt like I had owned them for years.
