SST7's, Tour Ultras, or Stabilites
« on: December 30, 2006, 06:36:18 AM »
Out of these three, which one would provide me with the easiest slide? I don't know I worded that right but, I simply can't slide very well. I planted for years but I can't do it anymore. I'm trying to reinvent my game while trying to slide and i'm struggling big time. Pls help..

Have to agree with Sixcranker. Tour Ultras all the way. Got a pair last season, as back up for my Dexters that were wearing out. Practice today, pulled the Tour Ultras out and bowled with them for really the first time, the Dexters are done, and now the back-ups . I will bowl with the Tour Ultras from now on. What a great pair of shoes, can't believe that I have not been using them all this time.

I finally did it. I made a decision and bought the Tour Ultras, hopefully I like them. Thanks for the replies.

I love my SST 6's. If they made Dynorooz period in size 14's, I'd buy a pair. Unfortunatly, they don't.

I'm not sure where you've been, but size 14 TUs are the subject of a series of threads in the DT and Misc forums.

i wore dexters for 11 years including the sst 1's, 4's, 5's, and 6's. they are good shoes. no problems with wear and tear. i could never seem to find the right slide no matter what combo of heels and soles i tried. my dynorooz sport elite cabretta's are every bit as comfortable, stylish, and well built, plus i'm sliding better---almost perfect. the materials that the soles and heels are made of must be part of the difference. another reason may be that the shoe itself is slightly narrower which means there's less surface friction between the shoe and the approach. great shoes.
