It took me quite awhile to take it off. The top of it was too bad but underneath it I took a flathead and a hammer and finnally got it off and didn't damage the shoe. The replacement wasn't quite as “flush†as the one that was one it so it overlaps a little. I used a ton of really good superglue so I doubt it will go anywhere.
I really like the idea of the toecap. Aside from Linds that are made correctly from the pushoff foot, my last pair of Dexter SST 6’s got destroyed because of my foot dragging on the release and the rubber came apart and the top of the shoe got pretty scuffed up. So getting these Dynorooz was half the reason I wanted these shoes.
Very good idea by whoever at this company came up with and it is saving my shoe however, seems like there could be an easier way of taking it off like using some good Velcro. Really, the best way would to have it screwed on or machined in and instead of using rubber use nylon for the outer edge. That way it would last a long time and you would have no reason in replacing it.
